On August 21, in Shenzhen City (Guangdong Province, China), a delegation from Thai Binh Province led by Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and worked with Zhong Li Investment Consulting Company, Kaiyi Auto Company and BYD Group. This is an activity within the framework of the locality’s investment promotion program in China.
Provincial delegation works with Chinese corporations and enterprises.
These are large-scale enterprises and corporations in China, of which Kaiyi Auto Company was founded by Chery Group and is recognized as the most standard smart car factory in China with 3 modernization criteria: Flexibility, intelligence and environmental protection; BYD Group has a history of nearly 30 years of establishment, up to now, this Group has established more than 30 industrial parks on 6 continents and plays an important role in industries related to electronics, automobiles, renewable energy and rail transport.

At the working sessions, provincial leaders and representatives of enterprises and corporations discussed and clarified the process of formation and development, production and business strengths of enterprises and corporations; potential, strengths and investment attraction results of the province in recent times.
The province has established Thai Binh Economic Zone with an area of 30,583 hectares, of which over 8,000 hectares of land is for industrial development; 10 industrial parks have been established (including 4 industrial parks in the Economic Zone) and 49 industrial clusters with a total area of nearly 3,000 hectares have cleared land and built infrastructure, always ready to welcome Chinese investors.
By June 2024, Thai Binh had 160 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of over 5 billion USD, including 21 direct investment projects of Chinese investors with a total registered investment capital of about 507 million USD, accounting for 13% of projects and 10% of investment capital compared to the total number of FDI projects in the province. The main investment fields include: Textiles, footwear, hardware manufacturing, electronics. Including Shengli Vietnam Special Steel Company, Greenworks Company Limited (Vietnam), Capital Holding Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company…
In particular, at the end of 2023, Geleximco Group (Vietnam) and Omoda & Jaecoo Automobile Company Limited (under Chery Automobile Manufacturing Group, China) organized the signing of a contract in principle on the investment cooperation project to build an automobile assembly and manufacturing factory in Hung Phu Industrial Park (Tien Hai).
Speaking at the meeting with businesses, Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, emphasized: In order to realize the planning of Thai Binh province in the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, Thai Binh prioritizes attracting reputable and branded enterprises to invest in large-scale projects with high added value, producing products participating in the global value chain, and being environmentally friendly.
Sincerely inviting enterprises and corporations to come to research and cooperate in investing in the province in the coming time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: With the advantages and development potential of Thai Binh province in the context of Vietnam’s strong development, along with transparent incentive mechanisms and the spirit of openness, readiness to cooperate, and high determination of the leadership team of Thai Binh province, Thai Binh will certainly be a reliable destination for domestic and foreign investors in general, and Chinese investors in particular. At the same time, Thai Binh province commits to always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for businesses and corporations to come and explore opportunities for effective investment cooperation, production and business, and mutual development in the province.
